What data we process
Contact form
If you fill in our contact form, we process your first name, last name and email address, and — if you enter them — your phone number and your intended arrival and departure dates, together with the content of your message. This is sent by email to our own inbox so that we can answer your question.
Email and WhatsApp
If you contact us directly by email or WhatsApp, we process the information you give us in that conversation, such as your name, phone number and travel details.
Bookings
If you book a stay, that goes through an external booking engine. That provider processes your name, contact details, stay details and payment details under its own privacy policy. From it we receive the information we need to prepare your stay and to reach you.
Comments on blog articles
If you leave a comment on a blog article, we keep the details from the comment form together with your IP address and browser information. We use those last two only to recognise spam.
Website and security
Our hosting provider and our security software record technical data such as your IP address, your browser type and the time of your visit. We use these only to keep the website running and to prevent abuse and attacks.

- Recording and preparing your stay
- Arranging services you request through us, such as airport transfers, car rental, tours or a restaurant booking
- Our administration and meeting legal obligations
- The security and proper functioning of our website
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We share data only with parties needed to deliver our service: our hosting and email provider, the provider of the booking engine, and — only at your request — the party we arrange something with on your behalf, such as a driver, car rental company, tour operator or restaurant. We may also share data where we are legally obliged to.
How long we keep data
We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to handle your question and to make your stay go well. Data that forms part of our administration is kept for as long as the law requires. After that we delete it.
Cookies
Our website uses functional cookies that are needed to make the site work, and a cookie to remember your language choice and session. If you leave a comment, your name and email address may be stored in a cookie so that you do not have to enter them again. We do not place advertising cookies ourselves. You can always delete or block cookies through your browser settings.
Links to other websites
Our site contains links to other websites, such as the booking engine, Tripadvisor, WhatsApp and a maps service. As soon as you click through, that party’s privacy terms apply. We have no influence over what they do with your data.
Your rights
You may ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Send a message to hibiscus.beachhouse@gmail.com. We will respond as soon as we can. To prevent us giving data to the wrong person, we may ask you to prove your identity.
We handle your data carefully and comply with the privacy legislation that applies to us. For visitors from the European Union, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may also apply.
